About
A few years ago, when I was working as a Corporate Paralegal, I made a coffee table book to illustrate how my mind works in hopes of obtaining different employment. I called it My Supplemental Résumé, and it outlined my employment history in a way that said, "Hey! You! Reading this! Tell me what I can do for a living based on what I've done in my professional and personal life!"
Now, most people would read that and say something along the lines of "Don't put the onus on me, Pal." or "Stop yelling at me." or "Man, you overuse exclamation points." And I don't disagree. But over time, a few kind souls read it and offered me pointers, advice, informational interviews, and, finally, a job as an Interactive Digital Producer.
I am fairly sure, now, my entire professional life was leading up to that point; from when I was a cocktail server at a comedy club (ability to multitask, not saying "no" no matter how silly the request) to that aforementioned Paralegal gig (attention to detail, document editing/formatting proficiency). Throw in a few of my personal experiences, some important-but-can't-be-included-on-a-regular-résumé bravado ("I have a perfect track record of knowing the difference between 'you're' and 'your'." and "I am 100% successful at raising and lowering my umbrella while walking on a crowded sidewalk in the rain."), and I had a job to which I took like a duck to water.
Since then, I've been able to adapt this work ethic, and personality, to become a successful Digital Project Manager, Web Designer, and Problem Solver. In addition to being a really nice person, I'm proficient in the following:
...and some other stuff, as well.
On this website, I showcase some of my professional projects, as well as some of my personal ones, to illustrate that while using my brain for this kind of thing can be profitable, it can also be really fun. So, welcome. Enjoy! Surf around. Peruse. My website is your website. Well, no, not that last bit. But I'd be happy to build you one of your own. Give me a call.
